Preventative Maintanance for Good Health

One of the best ways that you can stay healthy is through regular checkups.  Many insurance policies cover wellness checkups, mammograms, prostate checks, immunizations…etc.

If you don’t have health insurance, you can get a great deal by checking around using health insurance quotes comparison sites.  They are great for finding which health insurance companies offer the lowest premiums for your situation.

I highly recommend catastrophic insurance policies that are substantially cheaper than full coverage plans. They usually have deductibles between $2500 and $11600. That’s pretty high, but when compared to the savings of a full coverage plan—unless you are going to the doctor all the time—it will save you money.

What’s interesting is that many of those catastrophic plans actually cover 100% (not even a copay!) for preventative visits. Once you have insurance, keep up on your preventative maintenance. Many big health expenses start as something small and simple that could have been dealt with easily if discovered early.
